When I finally handed in my BA thesis on Nabokov’s Lolita I thought it was about time to reward myself. And what’s a better reward for a booknerd like myself, than a new book? Exactly, not much. So when I got back at the trainstation I dove into the bookstore and bought myself the second book in the Helen Grace series: Pop Goes the Weasel.
I believe it was in September that I took part in a giveaway on instagram. With it you could win the Fairyloot November bookbox and $50,- on Society 6. AND GUESS WHO WON?! YES, I DID! My IGname got picked out of the about 1,000 (if not more) people who participated! Yesterday was the day my bookbox arrived and I opened it right away. Beneath you can find the contents and a bit more about the Fairyloot bookbox!
I’m sad to see that all the coloured leaves are on the wet ground instead of on the trees. It’s also unfortunate that it’s getting so much colder; that I’m wishing that I put on more layers of socks in the morning when I go out.
But what I’m really looking forward to are the days filled with light and warmth. The days spent with my family and friends; eating, laughing and just being together. The days that I’ll spend while wrapped up in a blanket, with a good thriller and a hot cup of coffee or tea. The way I see winter can be explained with this quote by J. K. Rowling:
“Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
– Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Sorry for my absence the past few weeks! I had a lot to finish for uni, like my BA thesis! So, that’s what occupied my thoughts and actions and made me unable to write any blogposts or read a lot, for that matter. But now I’m back with my November TBR!
